Ingredients for 6 people:

  • 10 cl of milk
  • 250 g of liquid cream
  • 5 egg yolks
  • 60 g of caster sugar
  • 1 orange
  • 6 slices of gingerbread
  • 60 g of vergeoise sugar

Orange creme brulee and gingerbread recipe

Heat the milk with the orange zest, then pour over the egg yolks mixed with the sugar.

Pour the cream into this mixture and let cool.

Crumble 1/2 slice of gingerbread in the bottom of each fondue pot.

Then fill with ¾ cream, and cook in the oven for 40 min (thermostat 3-90 °).

When removing from the oven, the cream should be shaky. Leave to cool then place in the refrigerator for 2 hours.

Before serving,

  • Sprinkle with vergeoise sugar and broil for 2 min until browned.
  • Decorate with diced gingerbread.
